Mijn Top 10 leertechnologieën (Top 10 learning tools) editie 2015 @C4LPT

A learning tool is any software or online tool or service that you use either for your own personal or professional learning or for teaching or training.

  1. WordPress
I use WordPress about five years to blog. My weblog is my most important learning tool. I blog to process what I see and read, to reflect, to share knowledge and as an archive.
  2. Inoreader
When Google stopped the provision of Google Reader, I experimented with several alternative RSS readers. Soon, Inoreader became my new gateway to a large amount of weblogs. Recently I added some Twitter-lists to this feed reader. I use Inoreader of my iPhone, iPad and MacBook. It is easy to share items of save items in Pocket.
  3. Pocket
Previously known als Read It Later. I use it to save blogposts and online articles. I read them on my iPad an Macbook (often input for blog posts). I also have the opportunity to tweet, mail or save them to Diigo or Evernote.
  4. Scoop-it
Great tool if you want to share your insights without writing extensive blogposts. I scoop about technology enhanced learning. I think it’s important not only to share links, but also short personal reflections.
  5. Twitter
I use the original Twitter-app on my Macbook and iPhone, and Twittelator on my iPad. Twitter notifies to new resources used by several (learning) professionals. I use Twitter to share thoughts and information with other learning professionals. Great for asking questions (and giving answers). Not appropriate for discourse and dialogue imho.
  6. Mentimeter
I use Mentimeter (pro-version) during workshops and presentations for activating previous knowledge, to identify beliefs or opinions, or to start discussions.
  7. Google Drive – This tool enables me to collaborate with others on documents. Moreover, I can access important resources on every device I use. I use Google Forms to identify opinions of participants in workshops.
  8. Mendeley
Application that I use to search, collect and manage scientific articles.
  9. SpotLight
Great search option on my MacBook. I use it to search lots of documents and presentations on my MacBook.
  10. YouTube
I watch videos about learning, ICT etc for inspiration and learning.
