In Nederland kijken we vaak met jaloerse blikken naar de Verenigde Staten, onder andere als het gaat om het gebruik van ICT in het onderwijs. Gisteren is het National Education Technology Plan gepresenteerd. Uit dit rapport blijkt dat ook Amerikaanse scholen Internettechnologie nog lang niet optimaal in het onderwijs gebruiken (ook al zit het goed met de infrastructuur).
"Education is the only business still debating the usefulness of technology," Rod Paige, U.S. Secretary of Education, said in a statement. "Schools remain unchanged for the most part, despite numerous reforms and increased investments in computers and networks."
